This week’s topic is one that is very near and dear to my heart and was one of the first things I was trained on when I went through my coaching certification at the Coaches Training Institute.

One of the main purposes of co-active coaching is to help people experience more fulfillment in their lives, businesses, relationships, or whatever realm the coach is supporting them in. And, fulfillment isn’t possible without having a deeper understanding of our values.

So, in this week’s episode, I’m discussing values and how we can get a better sense of what our true values are as individuals so we can feel more fulfilled in our lives.

What you'll hear in this episode:

  • My physically painful mind climate moment from the past week

  • An explanation from the Coaches Training Institute of what the term “values” means in the context of our conversation today

  • What doing values work can teach us about who we are in this moment

  • The distinction between happiness and fulfillment

  • Guidance on how to do values work to learn and understand what your values truly are

Integration:

Affirmation

  • Honoring my values leads to a fulfilling life.

Reflection

  • Complete the 4-step exercise discussed in this episode for doing values work.

Actions

  • Rate the values you came up with during your values work on a scale from 1-10 where 1 represents a value that is currently the least honored in your life and 10 is a value that is the most honored.

  • Select one of the least honored values and take one step or action toward honoring that value more over the course of the next week.
